Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) machines are used in big industries. It is a manufacturing machine that can be pre-programmed using software that directs the movement of the motor on it. Moreover, this machine can be used for some more complex works like grinding, mills, lathe, etc.

Stepper Motors are simpler then servo motor as it works between their many poles and doesn't require any encoders. However, there are many types of stepper motor which include Permanent magnet, Variable reluctance, Hybrid synchronous, and many more.

Servo Motor:

Servo Motors are a bit complex than stepper motor as it requires an encoder to work with few poles to keep track of its position. Moreover, it is having two types on the basis of the nature of supply used for its operation, which is AC and DC.
However, DC servo motors are used for much simpler applications owing to their simplicity, cost, and efficiency. On the other hand, AC servo motors are used for complex applications. These are used more often because of their super high accuracy controls. Spindle Motor is also an AC servo motor that is used for the work that needs high accuracy.
Spindle Motor:
It is a machine tool that is used in CNC machines, as it is an AC servo motor, it is used for highly accurate and precise work. In the big industries, Spindle for CNC Machine is common. Moreover, the uses of the spindle motor in different cases are mentioned below:
  • On a common lathe machine (whether it's a wooden or a metal lathe machine) the head-stock is connected to the spindle which works as the heart of it.
  • In woodworking machinery with a rotating cutter, spindle works as the milling cutter which gives them the desired shape by cutting them or giving them curves or desired designs or any similar mill-work.
  • Similarly, in metalworking machinery with rotating cutters, spindle works as the shaft which is used to cut, drill, give any shape which is desired. Moreover, it is used as both the milling machine and the drill presses. That is why everyone prefers Spindle for CNC Machine.

High-Speed Spindle:
